Ben Axelrod has significant merger and acquisition transaction experience, having assisted in the completion of assignments in a broad array of industries including consumer products, food manufacturing and processing, distribution, apparel, business services, semiconductor, and software.
Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Axelrod worked at RBC Capital Markets (formerly Dain Rauscher Wessels). During his time at RBC, Mr. Axelrod was involved in executing a variety of investment banking transactions, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions for both public and private companies, corporate divestitures, private placements, fairness opinions, PIPEs, initial public offerings, and secondary offerings. Mr. Axelrod’s first exposure to M&A investment banking was as an analyst at BHF Bank in Frankfurt, Germany, which focused on traditional privately held middle market businesses.
Mr. Axelrod graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Stanford University, augmented by a minor in international relations. As part of his undergraduate program, Mr. Axelrod spent a semester studying economics and international relations in Berlin, Germany.
